New research from Marketix Digital estimates Australia’s annual market for new pallet-racking installations at approximately $397 million, highlighting the scale of warehouse-storage investment supporting the country’s logistics, distribution and industrial sectors.
The Australian Pallet Racking Market Report 2026 also finds that Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane collectively represent approximately 84% of the modelled opportunity across five major industrial markets, with Melbourne representing the largest modelled opportunity.
Alongside the physical-market analysis, Marketix examined how Australian businesses research pallet-racking equipment and services before and during supplier selection.
The research identified approximately 24,860 commercial pallet-racking searches each month, with around 94% conducted without a supplier brand being named. Buyer research spans new systems, configurations, used equipment, suppliers, installation, compliance inspections and ongoing services.

Marketix developed the market estimate by triangulating multiple independent economic and physical-market indicators rather than deriving market value from search volume. The research draws on Australian warehouse construction activity, industrial property data, freight and logistics indicators, Australian pallet-racking project and pricing benchmarks, and a proprietary Australian commercial search dataset.
The approximately $397 million figure is a current annualised planning estimate as at 17 September 2026 and relates specifically to new pallet-racking installations. It should not be interpreted as an official measured industry revenue figure or as the value of the entire warehouse-storage ecosystem.
Similarly, the approximately 84% geographic concentration represents modelled opportunity across the five markets assessed, rather than measured supplier sales or actual market share. Search figures represent estimated search events and not unique businesses, enquiries or transactions.
