TMX Global appoints international manufacturing expert

TMX Global appointed internationally recognised supply chain expert, Dr Martin Orzinski, who will be responsible for creating a new Advanced Manufacturing arm within the business.

He joined TMX Global on March 1, as Global Executive Director – Advanced Manufacturing and will report into Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer Milan Andjelkovic.

Dr Orzinski has more than 25 years’ supply-chain and manufacturing experience in Europe and Australia, most recently with Coca-Cola Amatil where he held a succession of senior positions in Sydney and Melbourne over 13 years, including Director of Operations and General Manager of Manufacturing.

Mr Andjelkovic said Dr Orzinki’s appointment was a coup for TMX Global, given his international experience and demonstrated career success.

“Martin is an accomplished Senior Supply Chain Executive with a proven track record of driving results, challenging the status quo and future proofing organisations to become customer focused,” he said.

“His appointment to our global leadership team means TMX’s capability to assist clients from ‘source to shelf’ in their operations has now strengthened even further.

“The need to create efficient and sustainable operations globally is growing and TMX is well placed as a partner of choice for end-to-end supply chain optimisation.

“Customers have always been at the core of what TMX does and the addition of further capability across manufacturing provides a greater depth of partnership with our clients.”

Dr Orzinski’s career highlights involve leading Coca-Cola Amatil through a series of crises including bushfires & COVID-19, ensuring minimal impact on customer service and improved focus on people which resulted in significant Total Recordable Injury Rate (TRIFR) improvement.

He reduced conversion costs by $11 million year on year, and lowered finished goods inventory by 35% by reducing complexity and improving efficiency, enhanced S&OP maturity including a new Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) process that improved customer service, and he managed an annual capital expenditure of $75 million.

Dr Orzinski’s international experience will be beneficial to TMX Global, which has offices in Australia, Singapore, Vietnam, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. It advises some of the world’s largest companies, including Bunnings, Coles, Kmart, Coca-Cola Japan, Asahi and Singapore Post.

Dr Orzinski said he was impressed by TMX Global’s broad range of clients and the deep and trusted relationships that had been developed with them.

“TMX Global is one of the world’s premier supply chain advisory businesses filled with passionate people,” he said.

“I’m looking forward to establishing a new Advanced Manufacturing  division and being able to support clients through multiple complex tasks, by leveraging the best practises and people, and ultimately focusing on improving their results.”

TMX Global has grown quickly in recent years and has strengthened its leadership team in the last 12 months with several key appointments.

These include Craig Albiston as Executive Director – Supply Chain, Jeff Askew as Chief Financial Officer, Julie Anne Vandenhoff as Chief People Officer and Peter Tebelopoulos as Director – Supply Chain Planning.
