Manhattan Debuts Postgame Spotlight, a Rich Analytics Tool to Optimise Fulfilment Performance

Latest offering provides guidance for improved inventory allocation, enabling retailers to overcome fulfilment constraints, reduce costs and increase overall profitability

Manhattan Associates (NASDAQ: MANH), the global leader in supply chain commerce, today announced the availability of Postgame Spotlight, a powerful new capability delivered through a real-time dashboard that highlights inventory allocation and placement decisions that limit optimal order fulfilment performance. By providing deeper visibility into these critical decisions, Postgame Spotlight enables supply chain and operations teams to identify and correct inefficiencies in inventory deployment, thereby reducing order fulfillment costs. The solution offers real-time scenario analytics and actionable recommendations, which can be shared with inventory planners to prevent the misalignment of stock across distribution centres and stores, ensuring that each product is positioned where it is most likely to be needed.

Recent advancements in online commerce, combined with the rapid emergence of omnichannel fulfilment options, are exerting unprecedented pressure on traditional supply chain networks. In response, modern order management systems are leveraging advanced sourcing logic to optimise how orders are fulfilled, ensuring that customers receive the right products at the right time and place. However, these systems can still be hampered by physical constraints, such as initial inventory misplacement or an imbalance of stock between locations. These factors often force orders to be routed from secondary facilities, driving up shipping costs and eroding profit margins.

Part of Manhattan Active® Order Management, Postgame Spotlight calculates the percentage of orders fulfilled from the most efficient locations and identifies the factors that drive orders to alternate sites. By analysing key performance indicators, such as available inventory levels, resource capacity at stores, and potential service level disparities, the solution reveals exactly where the bottlenecks occur. With this insight, retailers can adjust their inventory positioning strategies, bolster store staffing, and refine service-level agreements to consistently meet customer expectations while optimising costs.

“Postgame Spotlight is a great companion to the Fulfilment Insights capability Manhattan introduced last year. While Fulfilment Insights helps retailers compare their performance to their peers, Postgame Spotlight helps look inward to quickly pinpoint opportunities to enhance inventory performance and profitability,” said Amy Tennent, senior director of Product Management for Manhattan.

By integrating with existing Manhattan solutions, Postgame Spotlight drives better collaboration across supply chain teams, store personnel, and business stakeholders, ensuring that everyone benefits from clear, data-driven insights.
